Chigoe / Jigger flea, Tunga penetrans, causes Tungiasis

What a nice photo of a flea. Perhaps this is the reason why thy shall not walk barefoot.
Fortunately, we do not have the Chigoe flea in Florida, and if you had a chance, we would invite you to walk barefoot on the white sands of our Siesta Key Beach when the sun is at its hottest. Our sugar fine will cool your tired feet and guaranteed no Tunga penetrans.
