Upon further observation, their sizes are not quite uniform, a character that real ova would show. another trait is their lack of internal organization. As a result, I would go with crystals.

Florida FanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-629132641307534690.post-3173102199738297262014-03-10T15:56:46.676-05:002014-03-10T15:56:46.676-05:00Schistosoma intercalatum--more diamond-shaped eggs...Schistosoma intercalatum--more diamond-shaped eggs with terminal spineAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-629132641307534690.post-41755634937523105762014-03-10T15:38:47.924-05:002014-03-10T15:38:47.924-05:00I'll make it a tie again - looks like crystals...I'll make it a tie again - looks like crystals and maybe urate although that is a guess.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-629132641307534690.post-41619791125824129052014-03-10T14:58:19.424-05:002014-03-10T14:58:19.424-05:00I'm also voting S. haematobium. I'm not a pathologist, but I think the little "spike" thing is also in the right spot for haematobium as opposed to mansoni when it's more on the side. Plus, she has a history of travel to Africa, which would fit.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
