These are Charcot-Leyden crystals. They're the breakdown prducts of eosinophils and are often present in people with allergic conditions or tissue-invading parasites.
Charcot-Leyden crystals as breakdown products of eosinophils by inference in stool would suggest a parasitic infection but I'll be curious as to sensitivity/specificity. We don't see them very often or ever in stool; sometimes in sputum.
