They are amastigotes and Leishmani donovani is the usual culprit in the spleen.

Amastigotes of Trypanosoma cruzi are found in tissues, including the spleen, but splenic aspiration is not typically used to diagnose Chagas disease.T. brucei does not have an amastigote stage.
