Large Karyosome on the trophozoites and what looks like characteristic crenated star shaped cysts. There are few species of amoeba that traditionally cause this kind of damage and they are largely free living type amoebas. Amoebic keratitis is traditionally associated with Acanthamoeba sp.

ReplyDeleteAgree with above identifications: Acanthamoeba. Last picture is so characteristic of this amoeba. We rarely have such a beautiful case like this.
