Pediculus humanus, corporis (body louse, male)
Pediculus humanus, adult male as evidenced by the rounded posterior and copulatory organ. Florida Fan
Pediculus humanus corporis ( body louse )Medical Importance :-Vector of epidemic typhus ( Rickettsia Prowazecki)-Epidemic relapsing fever (Borrelia recurrentis)-Trench fever ( Bartonella quintana )
Pediculus humanus, knowing where the louse was found would help in identification {corporis vs. capitis}.The size range is different between the two varieties. Also the body louse is more robust.
