Happy Holidays to all of my readers! This week's case is in the form of a Christmas tree. Can anyone tell what the tree is made out of? (hint: this is from a Trichrome-stained stool specimen)

Charcot-Leyden crystals. They are a degradation product of eosinophils and tend to appear in certain parasite infestations. A very Merry Christmas to all of you!
I recognize the Charcot-Leyden crystals, but I've never seen that yellow star-shaped parasite before! This could be a nice case report, maybe New England Journal of Medicine.

Charcot leyden crystals , RBC's are these entamoeba hystolytica....is this a concentrated sample ??
