The following was seen on a Giemsa-based stain from a liver cyst. Identification?
Enface view of a double ring arrangement of hooklets both large and small, morphologically consistent with those of the family taeniidae. Due to its occurrence in the human liver, I believe this to be a rostellum of an Echinococcus sp. protoscolex.
Size of hooklets would allow differentiation of this genus from other taeniids.
