Case of the Week 146

The following pieces of tissue (labeled "skin") were received in the laboratory from an 80 year old man. No further history was available. On closer examination, they appeared to be friable 'scabs' (CLICK ON IMAGES TO ENLARGE):

Examination with a dissecting scope (40x original magnification) revealed the following:

Some of them were moving!

Quite gross. It looks like a tick but can't tell if the capitulum is on the upper side as they are quite engorged - Ioxodua spp perhaps? But then I'm suprised there will be such a heavy infection

What a great blog!!! I ran across it while searching parasites. I just found I have .... I think tapeworm. Not sure yet. I am doing the Humaworm cleanse and that is how I discovered them.

I have suffered with stomach issues for years and doctors had no idea what my problem was. I ended up doing herbal medicine for candida and have that under control. I am now, as I said, doing a parasite cleanse and then on to a liver cleanse.

I have had a burning tongue for 3 months and have taken iron, B vitamins, zinc... etc. They helped but not enought.

I think my problem might be the parasites. Here is a link to the posts I am doing on my blog. It is a daily log of the parasite cleanse
