It appears to be the tropical Bont tick (Amblyomma variegatum) which transmits heartwater disease in cattle.

All I can say with reasonable assurance is that its an ornate, hard-bodied tick with festoons. However, if Karma 453 is correct, then I would add to the list of transmissable agents Rickettsia africae in the Carribean, which could potentially be the cause of African tick bite fever acquired outside of Africa . . .
