Taenia saginata
Taenia species, looks like saginata.
I concur Taenia spp, I remember the species are differentiated by the hook number in the ova but I can't remember which way round they are!
Taenia Saginata
To distinguish T.saginata (cow) from T.solium (pig) you must count the lateral branches of the "stem" or trunk.
T. saginata has 15 or more (as in this case)
The eggs of T.saginata and T solium are not distinguishable from eachother
TAnia saginata due to the presence of 12 or more uterine branches. Tania solium has fewer than 10.
Taenia saginata it is!
Taenia saginata or T. asiatica (based on uterine branches) depending on where this gentlemen was from or on his travel history.
