Balantidium coli
Balantidium coli!
must be B.coli, it's the only ciliate known to infect humans. It's very rare though so I haven't seen it in ciliated form since my Masters degree, though I've seen many cysts in ruminants and pigs since then

Yep, it is ciliated. What is Balantidium coli? ...W
Very nice photographs of B. coli. Even the cilia are plainly visible, the nucleus and the cytostome are also visible.

Ah yes, the flagellate with "boring" motility!
