My guess is that it could be a cysticercus with some parts suggestive of hooklets, but as usual "je ne sais rien".

Probably would have diagnosed it in 1 second when it wasn't sliced up.
where does that one come from I know people can have worms all over there body. even in there blood. Ans I remember from high school that we have little bugs that live on your eyes and eat dean skin. Does your job ever gross you out
My guess is that this is some sort of fly larva. This is mostly going off of the gross description. Also, the specimen appears to have been inked leading me to believe that it was surgically removed. Another case of myiasis perhaps?
On second thought... the round structures appear to contain muscle fibers. Legs maybe? Could this be a tick?
It's the best job ever, parasites rule !
