This looks like Leishmania, because I think I see kinetoplasts and I believe Leishmania is negative by GMS. However, I would also consider Microsporidium, but perhaps these forms are too large for microspordia. I thought of microsporidia because perhaps the dark lines in the middle are the polar tubules.
I like leishmania too and a distant 2nd choice toxoplasmosis again. GMS means not histoplasmosis although internal structure not that.
What's the maginification on these? 100x?
Sorry to have excluded the magnification - it's now been added!
The GMS negative excludes Microsporidia, size wise Leishmania and Toxoplasma is in range. The cellular morphology is more consistent with Leishmania. It will be interessting to learn the true identity.
