Here is another 'alive and wriggling" case that just came through my lab. The specimen type is skin scrapings. Identification? (taken at approximately 200x original magnification)
A very neat case of itch mite, Sarcoptes scabiei. Actually there are more itch mites infecting animals (dogs, rabbits,) just to name a few. Dr. Pritt may give us some more elaborations on the subject.
