Watching closely on the lower side of the mite, we can clearly see the four stubby legs. The abdominal portion is long and large, this asserts an identification of the more common species Demodex folliculorum. Demodex brevis has a shorter and more pointed abdomen. Florida Fan

Yes, it definitely is a Demodex, most likely folliculorum. The way things are going these days, no wonder people scratch their head.
