The following object was extracted from a foot wound of a 80 year old male. It measures approximately 15 mm in length. No travel history is available. Identification?
Definitely a case of myasis. Upon further consultation with the PHIL/DPDX, I wonder if the larva in question was Cochliomya hominovorax or a Phaenicia species (Blow fly). Please shed a light.
