Considering the number of nuclei in the second picture, Entamoeba coli?
Whenever I lecture or teach on this subject, I always ask my students or the audience if they can count to 5. And if they can, then they should be capable of identifying this species!
That's all I will say until more answers roll in...
CNN would say this is Escherichia coli. ;)
They already have! And I have screen captured it for posterity!
